Toy Safety Recall

In 2003, after Mandible had been whiddled down to a duo, remaining members Pilesar and Spence(r) Madsen decided to rework a bunch of the group's older material and write some completely new stuff based around the two man guitar/drums format.  This EP is the only recorded documentation of this short phase of Mandible's career but stands out as some of their most raw and experimental. Interestingly enough, the group later felt that the album didn't quite fit into their overall canon so the project subsequently got shelved... UNTIL NOW!

Featuring silly and sophisticated performances on real and toy instruments alike, Toy Safety Recall is a bizarre ride through a murky lo-fi landscape. Begs for repeated listening!
